Why No Vending Machines That Dispense Cans Of Beer?
Imagine-you come out of Wal Mart-could use a cold one. Instead of having to settle for a Pespi you can drop in a buck in a vending machine and get a ice cold can of Bud or your other favorite brew to help take the edge off on your way home.
Wouldnt that be a great idea?

buddy you just are not at the right place
when i was in the Air Force in Japan
we had 2 beer machines in the day room of the dorm
on every floor in every day room
i think is was .50 a beer too
it was bud- bud lite miller and miller lite
and in Japan they have beer vending machines on the side of the roads at the train stations plus they have machines that you can buy a bottle of liquor( whiskey, vodka, gin…..)
and sometime just steps from your apartment also they have these vitamins drinks that knocks out a hang over in about 1 hour

The machines can’t check for underage drinking. I believe foreign countries allow it, but have a sign prohibiting the sale to minors, and just trust the kids will follow the rules, we don’t have that same level of trust in the USA.

Great idea! And to those that say about underage drinkers, what about cigarette machines that are widely available – you can’t check their age for them either!

All these damn goody-goods that write in kill me. Like they have never had some drinks and driven a car. There all full of CRAP!!
I think it’s a great idea.

How would you control what age group has access to the beer?
And, you are aware that drinking and driving is against the law, aren’t you?

Yea, that’s just what the school system needs is a bunch of punch drunk students, as if the schools don’t have enough trouble as it is.

No; alcohol is worse than cigarettes. You can see a cigarette, you can smell it. You can choose to walk away.
You don’t know someone is sh*tfaced until they get behind the wheel, or they come home looking for trouble.

uuhhh minors would buy it there
February 25th, 2010 at 9:14 pm
They do in Japan
February 25th, 2010 at 10:05 pm
I think there would be a lot more 15 year olds hanging out at the local walmart!
February 26th, 2010 at 1:26 am
IMAGINE THAT RIGHT AFTER YOU REFRESH YOURSELF SOME YOUNG KID DECIDES THAT A BEER WOULDN’T BE A BAD IDEA AND POPS IN A BUCK.UNLESS THE MACHINE WOULD CHECK I.D I DOUBT THAT IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA.
February 26th, 2010 at 2:55 am
No because it would be to easy for underage drinkers to purchase alcohol. The vending machine
cannot take and look at a driver’s license. It would also contribute to drunk driving.
February 26th, 2010 at 8:01 am
i think germany has them too
February 26th, 2010 at 10:44 am
Vending machines in Japan do.
February 26th, 2010 at 2:19 pm
They have those in Japan!
February 26th, 2010 at 8:02 pm
you’re crazy
February 26th, 2010 at 9:09 pm
It will be outrageous if they did because even minors can get a hold of a beer. It would be promoting alcholism. Think about it.
February 27th, 2010 at 2:56 am
under age drinking
drinking in PUBlic
religious laws
February 27th, 2010 at 5:15 am
They have them in Japan. You can get ANYTHING from a vending maching in Japan.
February 27th, 2010 at 5:26 am
It would be great but it would have to be credit card only for age limits on drinking etc…. and even then anyone could steal a credit card and use it.
Its all about policing underage drinking.
It will never happen Dream on Buddy !!!
