What Happens When You Put A $20 In A Change Machine?

I frequently find myself standing in front of the snack machine at my college with nothing but a $20 in my pocket. There is a change machine but I am scared that if I change a $20 I will have to carry around 80 quarters. Will it really give me 80 quarters? or will it spit out some smaller bills too?

you’ll either get 80 quarters or $18/$19 golden dollars and 4 quarters. i get the latter at a bus station. but a change machine will never spit out smaller bills.

I know the post office in my towns scams you frequently…

Usually the machine will say it only accepts $1′s or $5′s so try to break the bill unless you dont want to get any change back.

I’m pretty sure it’ll give you quarters. I really don’t think it’ll give you dollar money!

The machines wont give paper money back they will only give you coin money. So it will give you 80 quarters. In one machine i put in 5 dollars and it gave loads of dimes and nickles … whats up with that?
