What Happens To The Money That Vending Machines Swallow?

Its so annoying when you put money in a drinks or confectionary machine and it just swallows the money. It seems to happen about one in every five times I use one of these machines. I can’t normally be bothered to contact the venders because it’s just a small amount of money i’ve lost so it ends up in their pocket. When the machines are emptied the company must realise that they have more money than stock sold. What do they do with this money? shouldn’t it be invested in better machines that dont steel your cash. They’re so annoying!

There is usually a little sticker on the machine giving the name and phone number of the vending company. Phone them and tell them about how you lost money in the machine and got nothing for it. They want to fix stuff like this because if it happens to enough people, they’ll stop using the machine and then sales will drop. If you call them, you will likely get your money back. It’s in their interest to give it back to you.

Unless you contact someone in charge of the machines, who can open it for you & get your money out, you are out of luck. They make a bigger profit. If you are that upset with them,. don’t feed more than the required money into a machine, or buy from a human….

I imagine that the extra coinage is figured into their profit margin
