Owning Vending Machines?
I am interested in buying/owning vending machines, both soda and snacks. How does that work and how can i go about finding out? Where do I buy them from and how do I find the places to put them? How does all that work?

Well the major question is not if you have the money, but do you have the discipline to keep those machines well serviced, because the snack and soda business is a majorly different animal then the bulk candy business that most people like to get into. In bulk candy, most people could care less if your machines are serviced properly or not, because there are usually two or three other machines right next to yours, but in the snack and soda business, you should be the only vendor there, if your sales person did their job right. So in the Snack and Soda business, if you don’t have the discipline to go out to those machines at least once a week, don’t even plan on getting into it. I sell vending machines for a living and set people up with routes and before they even fill out a credit ap that is always the first thing I ask them, “Do you understand that this is a Service business?”
Now onto the nuts and bolts of it, as you might guess the most important part and the hardest part is locations, there are a million people who can sell you machines, but not too many honest people to find you decent locations. The easiest way to avoid all this would be to open your local paper and keep your eyes open for existing routes, but they can be expensive. If you need a company that will finance you and get you locations, try http://www.vending.com and look at their perfect break systems department, thats what they do.

Look for new developments, and get first dibs on the rights to put your machines there, most rich people have streams of money coming in, your on the right track to financial freedom, Bars, doctor offices, restaurant or any lobby you can have gum or breath mints, candy etc.You have to act fast to get offices, schools, shops for the bigger vending machines.Best of luck to you, you only live once, give it a shot and be optimistic.
