How Many Companies Own Their Own Vending Machines?
Do you find that the vending machines are a good way to help pay for employee benefits?
Even if it was the company picnic or Christmas party?
Or is better to let a vending operator run the machines for you?

Think about the issues of employees restocking the machine, instead of doing their regular job. You can have theft of money issues, also theft of product since you have to have a stockroom somewhere. Also employee complaints when machine does not have everyones favorite candy bar, or when machine is broken.
Much better to have a third party manage all of that. FWIW, you can usually get the vendor to share revenue with you, so you still make some money just by having machine there, with zero headaches.
