A Machine That Stuffs A Cheese Filled Snack Product Can Be Adjusted For The Amt Of Cheese Injected Into?

each unit. a simple random sample of 30 units is selected, and the average amt of cheese injected is x-bar= 3.5 grams. if the process standard deviation is known to be .25 grams what is the 95% confidence interval for u=the average amt of cheese being injected by the machine.
Business statistic question. Thanks!

    the formula for the CI is x-bar +/- t * s/sqrt(n)
    x-bar = 3.5
    t is the number from the Student t-distribution table. See referencehttp://www.math.unb.ca/~knight/utility/t…
    the degrees of freedom = 30 – 1 = 29
    t is form the two-tail 0.05 column = 2.045
    s = 0.25
    n = 30.
    So the CI = 3.5 +/- 2.045 * 0.25/sqrt(30)
    3.5 +/- 0.295
